You are Going to Love These Keto Christmas Cookies!

Christmas wouldn't be Christmas without making cookies with my family!

Even though I do believe in splurging around the holidays, I still stay away from sugar and gluten. Both leave me feeling sub-optimal at best.

Luckily, I don't have to feel deprived because there are so many delicious keto-friendly recipes out there. If you are looking for a little low carb cookie inspiration, you are going to love these 18 Keto Cookie Recipes!

Tools for Making and Decorating Keto Christmas Cookies

As an Amazon Associate, I earn from qualified sales.

  • Cookie Cutters - If you have small children, consider using larger cookie cutters because big cookies are easier for tiny hands to decorate.
  • Small Squeeze Bottles - Unless you are experienced with piping bags, consider using squeeze bottles - they are a lot easier to control!
  • Wire Rack - This is helpful when you are cooling your cookies. You can also place parchment paper under it and decorate right on the rack.
  • Rimmed Baking Sheets - For baking and for decorating to keep messes contained.
  • Stand Mixer - A hand mixer works, but a stand makes the process so much easier.
  • Rolling Pin - You can use a round glass in a pinch.
  • Paint Brushes - If you want to get all fancy, paint brushes can be helpful.

Tips & Tricks

  • Use parchment paper or invest in Silpat mats. Silpat mats are relatively inexpensive and can use them for years to make keto Christmas cookies. If you prefer parchment paper, you can find it either in rolls or in 12 x 16-inch sheets. Some people white their parchment down and reuse it, but I don't typically have the patience for that.
  • Skip the nonstick baking sheets. They usually are dark brown, and this can cause the cookie bottoms to burn before the middles are cooked through. There are also some health concerns surrounding nonstick pans.
  • Don't use insulated pans. Insulated pans help to keep the bottoms and edges from browning. Not only can this make it difficult to tell when the cookies are done, most of us appreciate a little browning.
  • Buy the best pans you can. Like most cookware, quality baking pans will go a long way towards ensuring you have great results. Heavy pans will cook more evenly and experience less burning than thin pans.

Want to Give Low Carb Christmas Cookies as a Gift?

  • You can buy small boxes and tins online or at stores like Michaels. For decorated cookies, tie boxes or even shallow jewelry boxes work great.
  • Consider leaving sugar cookies blank and gifting the cookies in a tin with everything needed to decorate them.
  • Raw cookie dough wrapped with ribbons at the end makes a great gift and allows your friends to have warm cookies on demand.
