    Keto Slow Cooker Recipes for the Win!

    Long before there were Instant Pots, I fell in love with my slow cooker. My (now teen) boys are just fourteen months apart. When they were infants and toddlers, the idea of getting a meal on the table was more than just a little overwhelming. Time and again, my slow cooker saved me.

    Whether you are pressed for time, don't feel particularly skilled in the kitchen, or just like the idea of having dinner prepped, your Crock-Pot can become your best friend.

    I have three of them and use them all the time! In fact, on meal prep days, sometimes I have all three plus my Instant Pot going.

    Coming Home to a Slow Cooker Meal

    If you work outside the home and want to come home to a meal, you can prepare many of these dishes in the evening and store the crock-pot insert in your refrigerator overnight.

    In the morning, place it in the cooker and prepare to come home to a delicious meal. (Make sure your cooker has a timer and will keep things warm if you don't think you will be home before cooking is up.).

    Keep in mind that since everything will be chilled, it may take a bit longer for it to cook than it would have had started with room temperature ingredients.

    Why Use a Crock-Pot on Keto?

    It is Easy

    Let's face it - while the food is undoubtedly delicious, sticking to a low carb diet can be a bit more work than the Standard American Diet, which often involved running through a drive-through when time gets tight. A slow cooker makes family meals fast and easy.

    It is Economical

    As a Floridian, I am always looking for ways to avoid turning my oven on. Because turning the oven on means my air conditioning bill is going to go up. Even in the dead of winter, a slow cooker will use significantly less energy than and oven. (Even accounting for the increased cooking time.)
