Keto Nachos

You won't believe how much these delicious keto nachos taste like the "real thing"

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon avocado oil
  • ¼ cup chopped onion
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 8 ounces ground beef
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • ¼ teaspoon chipotle chili powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 recipe keto chips
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese
  • Optional Toppings: radishes sliced olives, sliced jalapeño, cilantro, red onion, diced tomatoes, green onions, lime wedges, avocado, sour cream

Instructions

Cook the Meat

  • Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the onion and cook for 5 minutes. Add the garlic and cook for 1 more minute.
  • Add the beef to the pan, breaking it up with the back of a spoon.
  • Cook for 5 minutes, stirring to continue to break up the meat.
  • Sprinkle with chili powder, cumin, red pepper flakes, chipotle chili powder, salt and pepper. Cook for another 4 minutes.

Make the Nachos

  • Place the oven rack in the top position. Preheat the broiler to high.
  • Line a baking sheet with parchment and arrange the chips on the pan. Spoon the beef mixture over the chips and sprinkle with cheese.
  • Cook for about 2 minutes, until the cheese is melted.

Top

  • Top with the desired toppings and serve immediately.
