Creamy, tangy, and with just the right amount of zip, this keto Big Mac sauce hits all the nostalgic fast-food notes but is cleaned up for your keto lifestyle. It’s the kind of homemade sauce that makes cheeseburgers, bowls, and lettuce wraps way more exciting. One taste and you’ll be dunking everything in it straight from the fridge.

This low carb Big Mac sauce recipe was born when I was craving that classic flavor, but without weird ingredients or cloying sweetness.
My version uses simple ingredients you probably already have. It’s thick, spoonable, and easy to tweak. Thin it with pickle juice if you want to drizzle, or leave it thick if you’re having hamburgers. Either way, the whole family is going to love this homemade Big Mac sauce.
I use this sauce constantly. It is my favorite way to liven up a cheeseburger, and I love it over a keto Big Mac bowl. I’ve even used it as a dip with keto chicken tenders, and loved it.

Let’s Talk Ingredients
To keep this copycat big mac sauce keto, make sure you read the label on your ketchup. Look for the net carbs, and ingredients, and make sure it fits with your goals.
The dill pickles are my recommendation here. I don’t like this with sweet pickles at all, and I haven’t found a dill pickle relish that has clean ingredients. Because if this, I always buy Bubbies pickles and chop them.
I don’t add a sweetener to my big mac sauce, because I find that the ketchup is enough. If you taste the sauce and want yours sweeter, you can add ½ teaspoon to 1 teaspoon of your favorite keto-friendly sweetener.
Step-by-Step

Add the keto-friendly ketchup, chopped dill pickles, yellow mustard, white vinegar, paprika, garlic powder, and sea salt.

Tips & Tricks for Keto Big Mac Sauce
Want some heat?
I left this off of the recipe, since I am going for a copycat big mac sauce here, but a little heat is magical. If you are game, try ¼ teaspoon of cayenne pepper.
Yellow mustard only.
I don’t like this with Dijon. I tried it and wasn’t a fan. If you want that classic keto Big Mac sauce recipe flavor, yellow mustard is key.
Let it chill.
This sauce needs a little fridge time. Thirty minutes is fine. Overnight is good too. The flavors calm down and come together, and suddenly it tastes like the real thing.
Adjust the thickness for how you’re using it.
Thicker for burgers. Thinner for burger bowls, lettuce wraps, or drizzling. Pickle juice is your control knob here. Use it sparingly, I recommend just a teaspoon at a time.
If it tastes off, check the acid.
Most versions miss this. White vinegar matters. Swapping it changes the whole balance and pulls it away from the classic Big Mac sauce flavor people expect.
