As much as I love to cook, I don’t know where I’d be without easy recipes that the whole family loves.
Life gets busy, and more often than not I just don’t have the time to linger over dinner preparation.
But still, there is that thing about three young humans – two of them taller than I am – who are very attached to eating.
I know most of you are the same way – either because cooking isn’t your jam, you are crazy-busy, or both!
That is why I know you are going to go nuts over this Keto Ranch Chicken. It is ridiculously easy to make, and the ingredient list couldn’t be less complicated.
With just five ingredients, this recipe is simple cooking at its best.
But don’t worry, that doesn’t mean it is bland or boring.
I’ve used my homemade ranch dressing, which I try to make weekly when I do meal prep. But keto and low-carb friendly ranch dressings are relatively easy to find at the grocery store. (Just make sure you read the label!)
I like to let this marinate overnight for maximum flavor, and it is always great knowing that I have dinner that isn’t going to take much effort waiting for me in the fridge.
If you don’t plan ahead, this low-carb Ranch Chicken is still great if it can only marinade for 30 minutes or so.
I like to serve this with an extra side of ranch.

How to Make Keto Ranch Chicken
Time needed: 19 minutes.
Low Carb Ranch Chicken in Less Than 20 Minutes
- Make Marinade
Whisk together olive oil and ranch dressing in a small bowl.
- Marinade Chicken
Place the chicken in a shallow dish or zip top plastic bag and pour the ranch mixture over it. Allow to marinade for at least 30 minutes or in the refrigerator over night.
- Preheat Broiler
Preheat your broiler to high.
Spray an oven safe pan or grill pan with avocado oil. (Or other high heat oil). Cook over medium-high heat for 5 to 7 minutes per side.
Add cheese and tomatoes to the top of the chicken and cook under the broiler for 2 to 3 minutes, until the cheese is melted.

Yes! This recipe will work just as well with chicken thighs. You may need to adjust the cooking time depending on the size of the thighs. It should reach an internal temperature of 165 degrees Fahrenheit.
Any time you use a high calorie (high fat) marinade, calculated calories are going to be higher than they actually are. There is no way to account for all of that Ranch Dressing that is thrown away when you are done marinading the chicken.
