I especially love them with cheesy keto spinach dip, Keto Baked Brie or using them to make keto nachos.
Ingredient Notes
- Tortillas: You can use my homemade almond flour tortillas or purchased tortillas. If you decide to buy them, check the ingredients and make sure that they fit within your dietary goals. Unless you have a local bakery, it can be hard to find keto tortillas that are also gluten-free.
- Avocado Oil: You could also use olive oil - be aware of the smoke point.
- Salt: I use Maldon sea salt. If you are frying, make sure that you season the chips right when you take them out of the oil.
Let's Mix it Up!
For fun flavor variations, sprinkle these seasoning blends over the chips before baking or air frying or after frying while the chips are still warm. Use fresh spices for the fullest flavor and best taste. Store leftovers in a small jar.
- Ranch: To make ranch seasoning, combine 2 tablespoons of dried parsley, 1 tablespoon dried chives, 2 teaspoons each of onion and garlic powder, 1 teaspoon each of dried dill, salt and pepper.
- Onion: Combine 2 tablespoons onion powder, 1 tablespoon garlic powder, ½ teaspoon crush red pepper flakes, and ½ teaspoon sea salt.
- BBQ: Combine 1 tablespoon smoked paprika, ½ tablespoon brown sugar substitute, 1 teaspoon each of sea salt, granulated garlic, and mustard powder, and ¼ teaspoon of chili powder and cayenne pepper.
- Keto Nacho Chips: Combine 1 tablespoon nutritional yeast, 1 teaspoon each of salt and garlic powder, and ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper.
- Cinnamon Sugar: Combine 1 tablespoon of your favorite keto-friendly sweetener and 1 teaspoon of cinnamon.
- Taco: Use 2 tablespoons of my keto taco seasoning.
Wendy's Tips and Tricks
- For maximum crispness, make sure you are giving the keto chips enough space. Don’t overcrowd when baking or air frying - which could mean cooking in batches. For frying, you will want to cook in batches.
- The easiest ways that I have found to cut the keto friendly tortillas is with a pizza cutter, pastry cutter, or kitchen scissors. You could also use a sharp knife.
- For baking or air frying, cooking spray works well to coat the chips. Alternatively, you can use a silicone brush.
- The total cooking time will be influenced by the tortillas that you use. Make sure you keep a close eye on them so that they don’t burn.

These are a favorite snack of mine. I buy Mission carb smart tortillas for this. I tried this with the tomato basil ones but wasn't impressed but the spinach herb ones are a real treat.
Cat says
I tried air frying low carb tortillas using my air fryer and followed your recipe. Absolutely delicious! My only adjustments were to set the time to eight minutes and not turn them over. The came light and crisp.

I would imagine the nutritional information would be different for deep frying vs. oven or air frying. Do you know what the difference in calories would be?
Debbie says
These are so good! I have made them all three ways. If I had to choose the air fryer would be first choice.
