- Cayenne pepper: Offers a gentle heat that livens up the salad without overpowering it. Feel free to omit.
- Arugula: Baby spinach could be substituted if you don't enjoy arugula's peppery bite.
- Red onion: You can soak the onion in ice water or vinegar for about 15 minutes to remove some of the sharpness.
- Cherry tomatoes: Grape tomatoes or diced tomatoes will also work.
- Avocado: You will want one large ripe avocado.

Ingredients
